I used to not like Will Smith but he's actually a really good actor. I don't think I have ever not liked a movie he's been in.

Robert Neville is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable, and man-made. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and maybe the world. For three years, Neville has faithfully sent out daily radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. But he is not alone. Mutant victims of the plague -- The Infected -- lurk in the shadows... watching Neville's every move... waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind's last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But he knows he is outnumbered... and quickly running out of time.

Guess this is different from the book, which I just got done reading. Robert Neville wasn't a scientist, but was immune to the infection. The infection was the vampire infection, which all bitten (by mosquitoes and other vampires) were infected, along with bacteria traveling through the air etc. The vampires arent really the same as Dracula other than that they are nocturnal and drink blood. Every night they come to Roberts house, moaning for him to come out. He protects himself with garlic, crosses, mirrors, and weapons used to puncture. Meanwhile, he gets samples of the vampire blood and studies it, too find out why it is effected by the thing he used. They are immune to bullets (alteast the undead ones are, ones who died form the disease but reanimated.) Eventually he finds out he is the last normal human alive, and every other one is infected. The infected begin to create new society, and think of Robert as "wretched" and "abnormal." (Well he kinda is, because normal is based on majority and not a single person). So, they capture him and are about to execute him before many of the other infected when the story ends.

This is all from the book, not the real movie.

I saw it yesterday, woke up at 11:30 to go see it with my step dad and his friend. First showing, too, 12:01 right after midnight. I'll have to say it was an extremely cool movie, but people have also said it was disappointing. I saw in the newspaper "It turned out to be a zombie shlocking(w/e tf that is) movie, which is a shame because it appeared I Am Legend could have had something to say."

Well, fyi what would a survival from infected mutants movie have to say anyway!?

Two Eyed Human

I thought it was really good. But the ending was sort of bad. Will Smith isnt good at dying, seeing that this was his first film that he died in.

PWNAGE-pb
12-15-2007, 05:04 PM
Yeah, it is actually. I honestly didn't think he'd die, I figured he'd throw the grenade through the hole the infected alpha guy made, but I guess not. It didn't ruin the ending too bad though, I still liked it.

The movie was sick as hell. I think what scared me about this movie is that I can see this sort of thing happening.

There were some funny parts to it also; like him talking to manniquins, and the Shrek bit.

Has anybody noticed that the little boy had no lines what so ever? Also; I didn't notice it until my friend told me; but when the alpha infected guy bashed against the glass; when everything goes silent and Will looks at the shattering glass; the zombie actually made the shattered part of the glass look like a butterfly; like what his daughter did with her hands. I thought that was sad. But I did love the bit where he shines the light and sees the zombies all huddled up sleeping.

I thought that boy said something when Smoth wakes up.

But seriously, if you didnt see this movie, then you havent seen nothing yet. Much better than all the Resident Evils, 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, and all the ??? of the Dead.

Loved Shrek part. Yeah, It kinda scares me aswell, this kinda thing happening. It's kinda the thing that scares me most in the world. One of 2 things I'm just scared shitless of. National/Global Pandemics and Nuclear War. I would refuse to go to school during a pandemic, and I am not even kidding.

I don't think they were zombies though, because they could obviously think (set the trap), but in the book they were vampires. That could explain how easily they smelled the drop of blood.. but whatever they were, they're fucking weird. Yeah, deffinetly one of my favorite movies. Im glad I saw the first one at 12:00:01 Friday lol.

If there was a pandemic like that, i would quit school instantly and start building an airtight shelter to live in, stock up supplies, and buy as many weapons as possible (even if it meant going to the black market). The movie was really, really good, but i dont reckon Will Smith should have died at the end. He should have lived, because then they could create a really badass sequel!

Yeah; if that really happened; I would be scared shitles; especially at night when you can hear them killing animals... or each other. But after all of that I cant help but say "Poor Fread". Lol.

GOD DAMN IT FRED! IF YOU'RE REAL TELL ME RIGHT NOW! TELL ME RIGHT NOW!!!
(Shoots down Fread)

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

(Randomly shoots at buildings)

I was laughing my ass off then.

It was a great movie, and will smith did get a bunch of awards because of it, I think he shoud have got more for that movie, being that Hollywood productions studios is running out of great ideas. :)

The zombies didnt make the traps. Robert Neville (Will Smith) put them there to catch them people with the measles.

No; the zombies put that cirtan trap there; if Robert did then he wouldn't have been so freaked out when he saw Fred there. The zombies were watching him from inside the buildings and noticed his attatchment to the manniquins. So they set up a trap for him.

Sharpshooter221
01-10-2008, 03:39 PM
I agree with both of you. Robert did set his own trap, but the zombies put fred there. Thats what i say. But they really didnt make that clear at all. Also, it was really funny when he was choking his dog caus it was really crappy graphics and unrealistic.. Lol i luaghed in the theater and everyone stared at me... :D
