I heard a rumor that bungie made an auto update to make it harder to rank up. I also heard that if you achieve a general after the update then bungie will award you with 800 MPs. I dont believe it but just throwing it out there.

i'm not sure about the update to make it harder to rank up. but on another forum that i look at alot people are saying that if you win like 30games in a row you rank up alot slower. the more you win the longer it take to rank up. so i think its very possible that happened

Supposedly the new system tracks actual player ability. Thus if you continuously win you are continually making your reputation harder and harder to beat. Hence the becoming harder.

This is just a theory I'm not positive.

Well i randomly got extra file share slots about a week after achieving my general so not sure...

if you download the new map packs you get the extra slots that may have been the reason but i know they wont givyou the point and i think hn is correct
