Yeah honestly. In Halo: CE I was a less-than-competent sniper so I always toted around a magnum and got the job done.

I was never into the whole quadshot business but I never had a problem with other people using them. When you do those combos you sacrifice being able to aim as easily, therefore I don't see it as nooby, only a different strategy. Catch ma' drift G'?

Yea I completely understand. I used to think the same way but then I started practicing double shots and eventually quad shots.
Some people were crazy with it. Alot of practice and they were aiming just as well while double/quad shotting as if they weren't.

Its just if you can get off a good quick quadshot, your enemy is down. Down faster than if you had spent the time to pull the trigger 4 times. That small amount of time could be the difference in a match.

seriously though i could out gun a quad shot with no problem i always tote around plasma nades try a button combo(newbs use them) i stick you and strafe around your shots..... come on i have done it a million times though i have been killed alot by them i admit i just hate them. just another way to help your ranking situtation

OK, you still haven't told us why they are nooby. If you sacrifice aiming ability then why is it unfair? And if you can "stick them and strafe around their shots....." then why is this even an issue? How is it nooby, when everybody has the ability to do them?

nah, i liked the AR in pretty much all situations short of a sniper duel...it was perfect against flood, for filling an elite or sentinal full of lead, shooting at a pack of grunts, or bashing the crepe out of a jackal...and even taking down a banshee..the only circumstance where its not close to perfect is against hunters, and only then because of the pistol...

Well, I'm glad someone agrees with me that the SB is actually awesome.

(Tip: Use the SB for ultrapwnage in instant death Infection matches. You could even get up into Killionaire, and the like of those hard to earn medals.)

The Carbine can also easily pop a Jackals shield, unlike the Brute Shot, which is just, er, rather odd to use against an enemy 60 feet above me.

Anyways, I think the best Halo weapons are the Carbine and BR. Great scopes, great accuracy, great bonuses, great range, great range of fire; just really an all-around great gun (except against snipers, which I usually let someone else take care of because no one likes an effective sniper in a Slayer match; I've seen temporary truces between clans before just to kill one sniper.)

Mmmm agreed. I loved the NV and the flashlight. In Halo:CE they still had the flashlight even in multiplayer. :D I've used it many a time to 'blind' my enemies and escape.

I was playing CE with a few friends and I basically sniped one of them with my shotty. Then I got on H3 and I was like 5 feet away from someone and barely chipping at his shields. :(

Well, I guess on Guardian, it's very effective in Slayer matches, as well as Slayer matches on Epitaph. I will give it that, but I still think that most players are better off using another weapon, however, it does depend on your skill, as well as what type of weapons you prefer. :)

Bungie just HAPPENED to place a weapon of destructive capabilities on a beam in mid air and they HAPPENED to forget it there when they shipped the game?

Bungie was really pressed for time while it was making Halo 2, which was why they cut out a lot of stuff, like the Jump at the end of Cairo Station being gameplay rather than a cutscene, and Drinols. I think soccer balls in obscure places were the least of their worries.

its absolutely true.. I own with shotgun LOL, hide in BG base, kill opposing team members trying to get the flag HAHAHA!!!! so hilarious.. I was a 1337 capper on Halo PC.. one of the best.. I used so many cool tactics to get the flag.. I hide in there base for a while, without grabbing flag so they wont expect anything, then when the place is clear, I grab it and my team kills enemies, free ride home baby!!!!

Mate, the number of people online is NOWHERE NEAR 1800, its more like 300+60 in the custom edition. Also, the servers are pretty weak, if there are more than 500 people online, you get a lot of lag, regardless of your ping. This problem is slightly better in the custom edition.

I still think its pretty cool how a single sniper round can penetrate energy shields, through the armored helmet, through the skull, out the otherside of the skull, out the other side of the helmet, penetrate another energy shield, another armored helmet and another skull. Lol.

Dude the best weapons by far are the Battle Rifle, Shotgun, and the snipers. come on you have your Close to mid range, your CQB, and your Long range.

and the map....if you take a sniper rifle into a close range battle and you cant no-scope, then your toast, no matter how good you are at range. likewise, if you try and use the shotgun to snipe someone at the other end of narrows, and they have a sniper...go warm your cloning tube up :P

Easily the Energy sword from Halo 2, because it was so overpowered and it had a very fast time for pulling it out.

CMT Stands for Custom Mapping Team, they specialize in recreating Halo 2 style weapons for Halo Custom Edition. They remade the whole Halo 1 campaign in the CMT style, and have made loads of popular maps, the most popular one being CMT Snow Grove, its where most Zombie Games are played.

i honestly have to say that it would be a combo of two weapons that rocks. its the shotgun and the battle rifle. battle rifle for long distance but the shotgun at close quarters.
ultimately i rock with those weapons. oh by the way if you dont have any skulls your a noob.

My favorite of the ENTIRE series, is the Halo 1 Plasma Rifle, with the Halo 2 and 3 Carbine coming in a close second, third: The Halo 1 Needler, and then fourth, the Fuel Rod Cannon.

till i beat you to a bloody pulp with the butt of my Assault rifle :P nah it depends on the situation and the familiarity with the weapon...because the Assault Rifle was what I used until I was out of ammo, I was brutal with it...

For Halo 3, the AR is my favorite and best weapon.. AR a little and then melee attack with it.. and ur enemy is done :)

The flamethrower and Spartan Laser are pretty awesome weapons.. I was playing Laser Tag on Rat's Nest last night and I got 11 laser kills, Sniped people 3 times, a Triple Kill and like 2 killing sprees rofl.. I actually at first was like oh my Laser Tag, but anyways.. Flamethrower rocks as well.. sweet ole Halo PC :) I loved to use that thing on Sidewinder and Blood Gulch:D

I would have to agree with Lord Lycan of uses with BR's online or offline of overall weapons. If i have a battle rifle i rape all that is alive until it is alive no more. I am good with a sniper and i enjoy sniping peeps who have no clue that they are being watched, but after a while of camping i want to jump into the battle with my BR and just merk all that i see.(Everyone except my teammates, if they don't step in my range of fire)

yeah the seven iron acts like a re-skinned grav hammer, complete (i think) with a new reticle.

the battle rifle is great, but i still love the Flamer and Flame Grenades, even though their one of the easier weapons to suicide with...

I appologise for the newbish outburst, but I just had to get my point across.

You have a point though, that rifle was pretty epic. Although the H1 pstol was still probably the best. In campaign in H3, and you can ask anybody this, I tend to find one of the level's skulls and start bashing heads. I took down the two scarabs on the covenant mission using the thunderstorm skull when playing with veeks the other day.

LOLz...thats epic :D though the h1 plasma rifle was an epic fun sauce, the h3 plasma rifle is (imo) slightly better, and the plasma pistol is surprisingly undervalued by some, though the battery drains soo quickly :S

Overall, Halo 1 Pistol man.. it kills and it thrills :) it is my sniper, up close, and mid ranged weapon, one of a kind, a Lord of beasts.. hahaha I will stop, but not much can describe the power and form of the precious Halo 1 Pistol, of course..

I don't like the M6D, for one, it was WAY overpowered. I consider a noob weapon, and would always get pissed whenever one of my friends even picked it up. I never used it, sometimes I would just take it out because it pissed me off so much. It is IMPOSSIBLE to suck with the M6D, because it is so frikkin overpowered!!!

i gotta admit, i didnt use it a huge amount in multiplayer, but i almost never swapped it out (where possible) in campaign, its always useful to have...

well if you knew how to use it, then you shouldn't have a problem not liking it.. a one on one fight with it is very fun..

i never said i didnt like it, i just said that i didn't use it much in multiplayer...there are other more tactical weapons, or weapons that are more fun...

no offense but 1st of all 'PWNAGE-pb' is exagerating bout shotgun rounds going across blood gulch even though it does go a good distance. Its hard for me to decide between some of the C.E. weapons, i always favored the pistol, AR, sniper, and shotgun.

Needler was only good in maps like longest, otherwise all of them miss :(
