OK! Some of you may know that at this year's E3 event Bungie was planning on unveiling a brand new Halo project that they said was neither Halo Wars related nor the Halo Chronicles. Those of you that know that also know that Bungie's publisher requested that they keep it on the down low for a while longer.

I doubt this is in the right forum (I have terrible luck) but this forum is to discuss ideas for the upcoming and untitled Halo game. ;)

I believe it is Halo 4 :) why?? there is still more to the halo story.. Leaving Chief drifting in space is not the way to end the Halo series is it?? Usually when they have had a scene after the credits, they usually have a new game.. right???

If its Halo 4 I'm going to stab something.

The reason I say descendant is because Spark says "You are the child of my maker. Inheritor of all they left behind." However he also says "You are Forerunner." I just think the idea that they are descendants is much more likely.

Child of my makers. AKA, Master Chief's bloodline runs back to forerunner times. It explains perfectly how he would know the controls on forerunner control panels (read the books).

But it doesn't explain how the entirety of the human race could've simply forgotten all the advanced technology. The Forerunners could accelerate the growth of beings so maybe he means child in the sense that the Forerunners created the humans to leave their mantle when the Forerunners left.

The Halo story is well written, but to be honest, completely broken. I think Bungie just put that "you are forerunner" crap in there to forge the illusion of a mystery.

Haha that's true. I honestly can't find the link between 90% of the stuff in there, maybe because one doesn't exist. It's compelling but ultimately infuriating.

It can't be Fall Of Reach, Halo Wars is covering that.

rumor has it that it is a squad based shooter that is a mix between Gears and ghost recon that will not have MC in it. If you google anything about a new halo game, you will find this. If this is true then I have lost all faith in bungie.

I probably have to.. then again, they were both great games... Of course, id rather have MC, but, trust me, Bungie will make a Halo that takes place after Halo 3 eventually..

I think what I want to see most is a Forerunner focused Halo game. Playing as the Forerunner through their battles against the flood.

If the Forerunners were so advanced then why were the Flood such a problem? It kinda leads you to believe that the Flood aren't half as strong as they used to be.

No, they've only recently been reawakened. Also, the flood had Mendicant Bias on their side, so that could have been part of it. Now they have Cortana, so it seems history was repeating itself.

It's supposed to take place after MC follows the Prophet in Halo 2 in like the second level. You play as a group of ODSTs. Should be pretty cool.

I think so, it'll definitely be more realistic. Think about it, you know what the cheif's sheilds will do to protect him from a brute with a hammer, but humans don't have that priveledge, and they are slower and camp jump as high.

I think It'll be like a COD meets Halo type thing.
