In case no one's heard of this yet, the amazon kindle, or as I'm calling it, ibook, is an electronic book that can hold... well, alot of books, that you can read on your own or have it read to you (in a creepy computer voice).
This is it: www.amazon.com/dp/B00154JDAI/?tag=googhydr-20&hvadid=3067864457&ref=pd_sl_84ou9hix7q_b

I'm wanting to know what ya'll think of this thing.

I hate it. This is the worst thing to come since toxic waste. But I wanted to know what ya'll say.

Maybe. It can hold alot of books, so when you go on long car rides insteand of bringing a bag full of books you can just bring the little kindle or whatever and read off that. But I get car sick if I read while I'm in a car. It might be ok, this is the first time I've heard of it though.

eh yeah true. But I'd rather have the books and feel the pages... Its just the whole experience

Yeah, I don't think you'd be allowed to bring the kindle to school either. lol. And I do a shitload of reading at school.

I read at home when I get to a critical part of the book and then school ends and I just can't wait. I also read at home sometimes to simply pass the time.

Yeah, I do it when I'm waiting for someone. I get lost in the time and jump when they knock or call.

I agree with Spartan and Spunky, its the sort of thing you take on holiday rather than just general reading, if you're at home paper books are better.

That's why they have professionals reading audiobooks. You can buy them on itunes and play them over your speakers in the car for much less.

It's great for driving long distances. I've listened to V for Vendetta (the book based on the movie) going back and forth from college, and I've found it's better than listening to music.

I don't really listen to books, I just listen to music, though the book thing sounds like a good idea, I might try it.
