Summary: Interracial couple move in next door to a cop, who makes their lives a living hell.

Before I put this movie into the player, I had some high expectation for it. The trailers made it appear like a cop who has corrupted his entire department to help in his 'game' with his neighbors, which would seem like a great thriller.

I was wrong with assuming that. What I got was a grumpy police chief with a grudge against black-and-white couples.

(SPOILER: His wife got into a car accident with someone he suspects of her having an affair with.)

There is a minimal amount of action in this movie, more-so towards the end. There is, however, a bunch of arguments and disagreements between the two neighbors.

This movie does put Samuel L. Jackson (Snakes on a Plane, 1408) in a different light. Instead of portraying the 'good guy', he plays a more vengeful character in LT. This is both good and bad. He plays a convincing role when he gets angry in this movie, but at some points during it you expect him to suddenly assist his new neighbors.

Now time for some points.

Special Effects: 3/10. I give this movie a 3/10 for SE for the fact that there are almost no scenes with action. The only time SE were used was a burning hillside in the background, and even those few times it was clear that a green screen was used.

Acting: 8.5/10. This movie got an 8.5 for the fact that there was great casting used in it. Everyone played a very convincing role and they just fit the bill (partially excluding Jackson).

Story: 6/10. The story on the Trailer was very enticing. But the one actually used was well below average.

Overall: 7/10. Its a movie worth renting, and maybe buying. It never gets drop-dead-dull, but it isn't in my top 100 movies.
