I love punk rock, screamo, rap, hip hop, techno.. I like a few country songs but not many. 1 or 2, haha. Why is rap so horrible? I don't understand. My favorite rapper is Eminem, alot of his older stuff is stories about his life and his beats flow so well with the lyrics. Lose Yourself, Mockingbird.. those are some amazing songs. I usually don't like alot of the modern rap stuff but some of them I like just because of their sick beats, hah.

i have to admit i can appreciate the old school stuff, it actually had some singin in it, but i must say that it still is outdone by some of the other musical choices of the era.

Fuck. You. I agree with you on Disturbed and Slipknot, Nick Cave is tolerable, and Linkin Park is ok. But The Doors? Allow me to reiterate: Fuck. You. The Doors are one of the greatest bands ever to exist. No one can work the keyboard like Ray Manzarek.

I liked linkin park all the way up to their Collision Course album with Jay-Z. After that they got a little too emo for my taste

My favorite Linkin Park album was actually Reanimation. I prefer the remixed In The End to the normal one, less scream-ish. But yeah, Linkin Park seems to be focusing more on their rock aspect and neglecting the hip-hop aspect, which wouldn't be a problem if rock in general wasn't starting to gradually slip into the emo fad.

I'm just more of a "Fuck the government" type rocker than a "feel sorry for me because I had a messed up past" rocker.

Which is why Rage Against the Machine pwns.

yeah but you do have to skim through a lot of crap...of the two best rap songs that ive heard, one of them was never officially released (Dedicated, which is usually credited to Linkin Park but is baisicly just Mike Shinoda) and another whos name I've forgotten, but the whole idea was that instead of living the way that we have been, we need to change, and start respecting one another, no matter what colour, creed or background. But there are many others like that, so ey.
